Back in the day, kids rushed home from school for an afternoon in front of the television – from Fraggle Rock to Round the Twist – if you missed the beginning of the program, there was no rewind or start over button.
Fast forward to the 00s and parents are rushing from school pick up to the local sports venue for weekly training sessions in the lead up to weekend games. If only there was an activity where the kids could be active and parents were able to relax and soak up the scenery…
Introducing the Goanna Golf After School Special at Yarrambat Park Golf Course!
With a great deal on unlimited mini golf and a free coffee or soft drink for parents, this after school special has been welcomed by the local community and of course the kids.
Venue Manager, Mitch Walker says, “We have a great community asset here with Goanna Golf and this offer will engage the kids after a big day at school, for as long they want. Parents can take it easy with a coffee in the café or even go over some homework with the kids.”

Caitlyn (11) and Zac (6) were the first to take up the unlimited after school experience at Goanna Golf.
“My favourite hole is the redback spider!” said Caitlyn who was quickly chorused by Zac with, “I loved all the animals! We even saw real kangaroos!”
Goanna Golf is in the heart of Nillumbik Shire and offers a relaxing and educational experience for children and young people of all ages. The team at Yarrambat Park Golf Course look forward to welcoming new and familiar faces throughout the school year as they take a putt and enjoy their game of mini-golf.
